DESCRIPTION |

A fantastic dream city where the east meets the west. Being the only city in
the world that is located on two continents, Europe and Asia, Istanbul presents
an amazing combination of European and Asian cultures which shows itself in the
quick and active city life puzzling almost anyone who visits the city.
The famous Bosphorus, ornamented with Yalis (wooden houses) on both sides and
the Bosphorus Bridge (1074 m. long) connecting Europe and Asia, is an
extraordinary characteristic of Istanbul. On the other hand, Golden Horn with a
spectacular view of the mosques and Galata Tower gives a historic touch to the
city life. The 3 famous bridges over the Golden Horn: Galata, Unkapani and
Atatürk, are busy all day pulling people into the historic atmosphere. These
unique characteristics of this beautiful city naturally caused it to be the
capital and cultural/economic center of different civilizations like the
Ottoman, Roman and Byzantine.
